Qur’anic usage
Sense 1
عَذَّبَ · يُعَذِّبُ · نُعَذِّبُ · عَذَابٌ · الْعَذَابُ · مُعَذِّبِينَ · مُعَذَّبِينَ
يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ
He forgives whoever He wills, and punishes whoever He wills.
